Meet William - The Story Behind Akinra

I'm William Akinbayo, U.S. Army veteran, formulator, and the founder of Akinra.

I started making hair and body products in my kitchen after years of not finding anything that actually worked without a list of ingredients I couldn't pronounce. I wanted clean products that performed... no compromises, no fillers, no shortcuts.

Every formula is something I built from scratch. I researched every ingredient, tested every ratio, and adjusted until it was right. Cupuaçu butter because it absorbs without the grease. BTMS-50 because it conditions without silicones.

Akinra is FDA registered, GMP certified, and operates out of Cambridge, Maryland. Every product is small batch blended by hand, 100% vegan, and never tested on animals.

This isn't a side project or a brand I outsourced. I formulate it, I produce it, I ship it. Clean strength, veteran built.
